Suggestions for ways to cook a halal T-Bone steak are almost endless, but the obvious is to quickly fry it in oil or butter and serve it with a side salad and potatoes in your favourite way. Our Halal T Bone steaks are locally sourced to ensure consistency of quality and taste.
How To Cook A Medium Rare Halal T-Bone Steak
For the perfect medium-rare T-Bone steak, sear in a skillet for 13–15 minutes for a 1-inch steak, and 15–17 minutes for a 1½-inch steak, turning about 1 minute before the halfway point. A meat thermometer should read 130°F. Rest your steaks for 5 minutes before serving, covering lightly with foil.
Of course, cooking a t-bone steak will give some fantastic additional flavour to the meat. There are even flavoured charcoals available specifically for this purpose. Knowing when the charcoal is at the right temperature is very important though as if the heat is too intense the steak will simply burn rather than cook. A good rule of thumb is to wait until the flames have died down and the charcoal is white but still glowing. Leave the BBQ rack in place to get it very hot, then simply sear the t-bone steaks for a couple of minutes on each side, adding some freshly ground salt and pepper. If you overcook then the meat will become tough.
You can then put the meat to one side to rest, perhaps with a knob of butter on top to melt and impart even more flavour.
